Photosynthesis of turf grass in Atlanta is the process in which the grass plant makes its own food materials, known as carbohydrates. This entire process is enabled by chlorophyll, a molecule present in green plants. Chlorophyll is what gives “green” plants their green color. During photosynthesis of turf grass , light energy from the sun is captured by the chlorophyll to carry out a chemical reaction by converting water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and producing the carbohydrates to feed itself. Photosynthesis is critical process for sustaining life here on Earth, not just for those green plants but for all life sources. Without photosynthesis there would be little food and organic matter and many organisms would cease to exist all together.
